In 1840, composer Robert Schumann completed an eight-song cycle entitled Frauenliebe und Leben (A woman's life and love) on a set of poems by poet and botanist Adalbert Chamisso (1781-1838)

In 2019 Dr. Gabrielle Dietrich reimagined the story within the songs and brought the vision to life.
